My Family and Other Strangers: A Memoir In Twenty-Eight Stories

by Jerry Vis

I have worked with Carol Stanley as my editor on three books for six years. She has been an invaluable asset to whatever it is that I have achieved. She can bring you to the best place to find clarity in your communication without injecting her personality and opinions into the process – no mean trick. Can she straighten out syntax, correct punctuation, and other such structural concerns, yes. But her real talent is understanding the underlying concern. She possessed of an unerring sense of what was needed to lead me to the heart of what mattered.
